Danish Modern bookcase designed by Peter Hvidt, for Soborg Mobekfabrik Denmark, 1952-56. Finely crafted of solid teak, the open bookcase features exposed joinery along the edges and an asymmetrical arrangement of adjustable shelves and compartments. The case is raised on a base with round tapered legs, giving the substantial form a light, architectural presence. Professionally restored in a natural oil finish to highlight the rich teak tones and wood grain. Excellent condition.
